Hello,
:gongxi:
Happy Worker Day for all Malaysian.
Yesterday I ventured around town and eventually landed on Gurney Drive Foodcourt. I used to go to Gurney Plaza but never been to the foodcourt next to it. You can actually park your car in Gurney Plaza and walk to the foodcourt. It is only opened at night.
There are many stalls there so one post is not enough to give conclusion on the foodcourt. For my first visit, I ordered Cendol (RM2.00), Char Koey Teow (RM4.00), and Fu Chou Fish Ball Soup (福州冬粉鱼丸汤) (RM4.00)… and one Guan Ming Daily, my favourite.
The cendol tasted just okay. I actually ordered big plate of Char Koey Teow and it comes with 5 shrimps at reasonable price. It was not so oily and spicy after all which suit my taste.
Initially I thought the Fu Chou Fish Ball Soup is just a plain soup (with some fish balls of course). Surprisingly it also came with glass (bean) noodles and some seaweed. I ordered big one and it can be your main course. Don’t act like me having 2 x big plate main courses and 1x big dessert as my dinner. This is solely for review purpose.
:relief:
One thing I noticed is that the hawkers there prefer to use use-and-throw chopstick, spoon, fork, and even plate. They are said able to release some chemical stuff during use. Somehow I prefer better quality dining set.
That’s all for now. Will try other food in future. Any foodie familar with the place are welcomed to put some comments on which food to try at the foodcourt there.
