Creameal

Exterior

Located next to Kai Curry Bar at Jalan Phuah Hin Leong, Creameal is a small cafe specialized in all-day breakfast, waffle and homemade ice cream.  Similar to other restaurants in the same street, parking is a bit difficult here but it does not stopping us from trying out their homemade ice cream in one evening.

Moroccan Baked Chicken

Since we reached there with empty stomach, we decided to have some proper meal first before ending our evening with some sweet bites. Not many choices in the menu but still, we were able to find something special such as Moroccan Baked Chicken (RM16.70) – Baked juicy chicken thigh marinated with Moroccan spice. Served with mint yoghurt dice vegetables, mixed beans stew, and pilaf rice. A fusion cuisine which tasted like Middle Eastern and Indian cuisine.

Aglio-Olio Vongole Spaghetti

Deciding between burger and pasta, we went for the latter one. Aglio-Olio Vongole Spaghetti (RM15.90) – fresh clams, parsley, chili garlic and olive oil. Sprinkled with cheese powder, clams were definitely fresh but personally we felt that it was a bit soggy and oily to our liking.

Waffle with Homemade Ice Cream

You can’t go wrong with their waffle and we strongly recommended you to top it with at least one scoop of their homemade ice cream which can be further categorized into two types – normal and premium. Waffle with two scoops of ice cream is RM12.90, and add RM1 for any premium scoop of ice cream. In our case, we ordered Gula Melaka (premium) and Green Tea Jasmine. Compared to other waffles which are usually soft, Creameal’s waffle stays light and crisp til last bite.

Interior

We particularly enjoyed Gula Melaka ice cream. Green Tea Jasmine tasted like Thai Green Tea with fragrance from Jasmine flower. Some may find it a bit “artificial” but for us, it is fairly acceptable. Ice creams can be selected from the freezer in front of the counter. Free sampling is also available. Other items in the menu include burger, sandwich, chicken chop, fish & chips, lasagna and of course, the coffee.

Interior

One point worth mention about this cafe is that it opens as early as 9am (until 10pm) which means that they also offering all-day breakfast. Open daily except Monday. As a whole, this is a good place for homemade ice cream and waffle in town. Pricing-wise, it is pretty reasonable as well.
