Fatt Choy Reunion Buffet Dinner/Course Meal/High Tea @ Royale Chulan Penang

This is probably the last Chinese New Year buffet preview post we write for the year of 2019 and we introduce you Royale Chulan Penang (GPS: 5.41716,100.34373) – the 4-star hotel located opposite of Penang ferry terminal at Weld Quay, Georgetown, Penang.

Opened since year 2014, Royale Chulan Penang is a relatively new hotel in Georgetown, Penang. In fact, it was our first visit to the premise and the first question came to our mind was, “Is there a place to park our car?”. Fortunately, it was an unnecessary worry as it has a dedicated multi-storey car park right behind the building.

As mentioned, we were having the reunion buffet dinner preview session at Sri Tanjung Cafe – the main eatery serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in the hotel. Without further ado, let’s jump into details of the buffet dinner. Note that photos shown here are some dishes one will expect on the actual day.

Salmon Yee Sang

Chinese New Year dinner will not be completed without the tossing of Yee Sang as it symbolized the welcoming of good luck, prosperity, health and all things auspicious. Starting 15th January til 15th February 2019, Yee Sang can be enjoyed by dining in or to be taken away for celebration in the comfort of your homes with loved ones.

As a whole,  Royale Chulan Penang offers CNY reunion buffet dinner at a more affordable price, yet you are still able to get some premium dishes which are usually only available at higher price. We were tempted with their sui generis appetizers including Marinated Spicy Baby Octopus with Mango and Pineapple Salsa, Prosperity Kerabu Mango Jelly Fish, and Smoked Duck Breast with Scallion Egg Roll.
