Yiku Yiku Cafe @ Sungai Petani, Kedah

N-City (GPS: 5.61833,100.47570) at Sungai Petani is a new commercial area opposite of Bakar Arang’s Sharp Roxy factory and is under construction. We were told that there was a cafe there. When we first arrived, we were a bit resisted to get into the cafe as it shares the same unit with Sales Gallery of N-City (We had phobia with hard-selling sales persons). Surprisingly, it was a positive experience with cozy and quiet environment. We even enjoyed looking at building model.

Yiku Yiku Cafe is perhaps the only shop currently opened in N-City. As a matter of fact, the road entrance is still partially opened. The cafe is more suitable for after meal desserts such as Kakigori (Japanese shaved ice dessert, also known as Patbingsu in Korea), toast, coffee and tea. In conjunction with its opening, customers are entitled for “Buy 1 Free 1” promotion in which customers will get one tea for free when they ordered a Kakigori.

We opted for Mango Kakigori (RM9.90) with mango cubes, shaved mango ice and milk cap. The sweetness was just perfect and was suitable for sharing.

As for the free tea, we opted for Peach Tea.

Foreseeing that it would be a busy Sunday for us, we ordered a Cappuccino to rejuvenate ourselves at local-friendly price of RM8.90.

As a whole, a new, cozy and serene cafe in Sungai Petani worth trying out. The cafe opens daily from 12pm to 10pm. For more information, kindly visit their Facebook page.
