If you enjoyed your meal in Supertanker food court in Taman Lip Sin at Sungai Nibong before, you should notice a new plaza opening up there – Pan Palace. There is a Sunshine store over there and only few shops are opened now. Today, I am going to show you a restaurant call Mainstreet there.
The shop only opened for 3 weeks so I am helping him do some “advertisement” here. IMHO the plaza is lacking of marketing in which only few people knew the existence of the place. The plaza is famous with RM0.99 rental fee few months ago in order to attract more tenants. I had a chat with the Mainstreet owner (Mr. Kuan) under the cozy opening. He worked in MNC before. The shop provides WiFi as well.
The menu has limited choice (about 8 main items) and I ordered Beans and Chicken Rice Noodle Soup (RM3.50). The dish is okay but I hope there is more beans in it as advertised (I only counted 3 inside. Duh!).
Fortunately their Curry Puff (RM2.20) is nice. It stuffed with curry chicken, spices, potato, and eggs.
I also ordered their white coffee (RM1.80), which is from Ipoh according to the owner.
At first glance, Mainstreet offers simple meals at competitive price compared to competitors (e.g. Old Town/Island Red Cafe). Unfortunately, I didn’t try their Spicy Aromatic Noodle which is recommended by the owner. The place needs more tenants and marketing strategy in order to attract more customers.
