Where to eat? No Eye Deer.

The No Eye Deer

The No Eye Deer

How many time you have this conversation between your friend and you:

“Where to eat?”

“No idea.”

In Penang, you will probably ended up at Tanjong Tokong… in a western restaurant called No Eye Deer!

It was my friend’s birthday and my friend suggested this restaurant due to its reasonable price. We reached there in one evening. The place is not hard to find. It is just opposite of Island Plaza – 1st floor of Prima Tanjung Business Center. The dining hall is well decorated with beer bottles, portraits, and an aquarium.

We ordered one Caveman Platter (RM68.00) suitable for 3 – 5 persons. It is mixed platter of char-grilled lamb, chicken kebabs, chicken sausages, chicken wings and pepper lamb sausages. It takes some time to prepare but the food is delicious. That was my first time trying out lamb and felt kind of warm inside the body. Served with separated BBQ sauce, the sausages look big and tastes delicious as well. They reminded me of the one in Ingolf Kneipe.

We had chicken and lamb and was lacking of some seafood. So, I ordered Chili Lime Sea Bass. It serves with garden salad and mashed potato. Tastes good but unfortunately the fish has little earth smell.

These are our drink. I ordered Wacky Wizard (RM8.80), which is a delicious and wacky smoothie of mango yogurt and pineapple. Topped with few slices of watermelon, this drink tastes good. My friends ordered orange and pineapple juice.
