International Beer Day @ Four Points by Sheraton Penang

One month had passed and we still missed The Black Spot – a coffee stout created by The Best Brew, Four Points by Sheraton Penang. It tasted just like coffee even a teetotaler can easily fall in love with it.

Last month, we visited The Best Brew to celebrate International Beer Day. Occurring every first Friday of August since its inception in 2007, International Beer Day has been dedicated to celebrate the brewers of beer; and also a gathering of friends and family to enjoy a good fresh brew. Four Points by Sheraton Penang joined more than 40 other Four Points Hotels across Asia Pacific to celebrate this fun occasion.

Operate daily from 12pm-12am, The Best Brew is the bar in Four Points by Sheraton Penang. Guests can sit back, relax and enjoy the casual atmosphere with a variety of international beers and local favorites. Four Points by Sheraton Penang is also introducing an in-house ‘Beerista‘. Liken to a barista in a cafe, the ‘Beerista’ is a dedicated associate that will champion the hotel’s best brews program, bringing the best local craft beer to the hotel. The ‘Beerista’ will ensure that the perfect looking and tasting notes of beer is served each time.

Operating from 12pm to 12am daily, The Best Brew serves bottled Budweiser, Stella Artois and The Best Brew’s specialty beer – Timmermans fruit beer with a choice of strawberry or raspberry flavors.

Fresh from the tap, the bar offers the bar’s Best Brew, Tiger, Guinness Stout and Heineken draught beers.

Perhaps the highlights of the evening were the newly introduced The Cheecky Choc and The Black Spot. Both are creations from hotel’s “Beerista” with the first one being chocolate stout whereas the later one being coffee stout. One can simply go for second glass of it.
