The Islander New Menu @ Hotel Jen Penang
Whole spring chicken marinated with rosemary oil and Balsimic vinegar – a premium Italy vinegar made from white grape juice. According to the chef, chicken and balsamic vinegar is the perfect combination because the vinegar flavors suits the method in making sauces and is perfect as marinade for a chicken dish. This Chicken Rosmarino (RM58) was just one of the main dishes we sampled at the new Hotel Jen Penang, George Town, Penang.
Zest Bar Cafe @ Glow Hotel Penang Set Lunch
We first introduced Glow Hotel in our previous Father’s Day post. It is actually a Thai’s hotel under the management of Zinc with five outlets in Thailand and one offshore, that is, the Penang branch. Today, we introduce the new set lunch and ala carte menu, which we found it rather special compared to other Penang hotels.
Balik Pulau Lodge 客家分寨
Staying in Penang island during weekend and thinking of trying some Hakka food, we went to the new Balik Pulau Lodge 客家分寨. Reaching there is quite easy. Assuming you coming from Paya Terubung, after reaching Balik Pulau Town’s small roundabout, take the second exit (2 o’clock) to Teluk Bahang. Drive about 1km and the new lodge is on your left. Remember to drive slowly because we almost missed the entrance, drifted our car and scared the shxx out of a patrol there.

Located right next to PISA Corner Food Court at Relau, Penang is a new commercial lot with a wet market and another food court. Most shops remain unopened but today, we bring you to a new noodle station there, namely – JJ Fish Head Noodle Station 家家鱼头米粉专卖店.

I Mum Mum is a Pan Mee specialist with its first outlet located under PDC flat at Weld Quay since year 2009. We still remember those days when we travel all the way from Bayan Lepas to Weld Quay just to have a plate of it during lunch hour. George Town, Penang is a famous tourist spot for mural arts. However, most of the time you have to walk or cycle under the hot sun to hunt down all the mural arts. Good news is that, not far from Armenian Street with famous “Little Children on a Bicycle” mural, you can rejuvenate yourself with a bowl of homemade coconut ice cream.

For years, Bayan Baru is lacking of a type of restaurant – Chinese Dim Sum restaurant. Some popular Dim Sum restaurants nearby are such as Red Garden at Taman Lip Sin and Maxim at Taman Pekaka.
