Plus One Shabu Shabu 壹加壹 @ 1 Utama

P1080486_800

I finished Lammeeya. It was still early to check in so I dated my friend at 1 Utama. (Before that I visited Thean Hou Temple to get some blessing for cheap labor like me. I never been there since primary school.) Compared to Queensbay Penang who some think it is everything they want in their life, 1 Utama is one big motherfxxxer. There are quite a number of restaurants in it and obviously we wanna try somethings not available in Penang. So we decided to go Plus One Shabu Shabu.

Lammeeya 淋面屋 @ Section 8, PJ

P1080411_800

My friend’s wedding is at PJ so I booked a budget hotel nearby (already :poor: so can’t afford high class hotels). I reached PJ at 8:30am and I cannot check in until 1pm. At first, the hotel looked a bit scary (like for “open room” that kind). Surprisingly there are quite a number of convenient shops around…. including 7-11 (for you to buy rubbers), tires shop (in case your tires went missing), vegetarian shop (this looks good but I don’t have a chance to try), and this Lammeeya… which looks kind of familiar…

Ming Court Hong Kong Tim Sum 明阁香港点心

P1080386_800

Last Saturday, I alone traveled all the way down to Kuala Lumpur to attend my friend’s wedding. It was an evening event but I started my journey from Penang at 4am, so that I could reach Ipoh at 6am to enjoy dim sum  Previous I had visited Foh San. Now it is time to visit the restaurant opposite of it – Ming Court.

Station 1 @ Queensbay Mall

P1070121_800

Me, “What is this?”
Waitress, “Uh… drink it and you will know.”

:noword:

This was the response I got when visiting Station 1 @ Komtar Walk for the first time. The service is terrible thanks to the bxtch. The menu, which had limited screenshots and “too good to be true” photos, made identifying actual food difficult. And guess what, the drink is called “Happiness“!

Hock Lye Seafood Village 福来海鲜村

P1070755_800

Similar to some people, I was asked to look for a new seafood place in Penang to treat my friend’s relatives. Some bloggers recommend this place – Hock Lye Seafood Village. I booked a table but sadly my friend said the place does not have aircond and asked me to treat them at Everyday Supreme instead (like that also can?). I ended up have to find excuse to cancel the booking :dissapoint: I promised myself will visit it one day. Six weeks later, another friend of mine and me visited Hock Lye for the first time.

Lameizi 辣妹子 @ Krystal Point

P1070340_800

Steamboat businesses in Penang island were monopolized by some buffet style restaurants, such that by spending RM20 you can eat all you like. This makes menu + fixed price restaurants hard to survive… other than from quality POV. We were celebrating one of my colleagues’ birthday last month at Lameizi. Let’s see how’s the food looks like.

Chin Bee 晋美 @ 二条路

P1070674_800

I had dinner with Criz and friends last night. One of my friends said, “Waco usually very efficient one! This restaurant’s blog probably in his blog tonight.” 😯 Dunno is teasing or what… Anyway, guess is time for me to get back to business – blogging. Today, I bring you to one of the Choo Char restaurant recommended by CrizChin Bee at Lebuh Noordin (a.k.a Ji Tiao Lor 二条路).

Golden J&C Express Cafe

Exif_JPEG_PICTURE

Timesquare Penang… IMHO it is still very empty even though with Sunshine City moved in. Most probably you are the only customer if you dining in during weekday. There was a cafe in which I visited last year – Golden J&C, in which I feel that it has its specialty despite of being “ignored” most of the time due to location.

113 Fried Porridge 炒粥

P1040382_800

Char Moey (Fried Porridge) – A dish hard to find in some areas, is now available in Tanjung Tokong . Unlike normal porridge, it is mildly fried to brown color with pork and the fragrant from wok. I was introduced by my friend to try it one day.
