Ecco Cafe Revisited

Ecco Cafe, Chulia Street, Penang If you are accidentally free in the evening, don’t open your RMVB files or eat bread at home. You should relax yourself by having a jog outside, or enjoy a nice dinner, or both. Last week, I revisited Ecco Cafe at Chulia Street after having a nice evening jog at Air Itam Dam. I was attracted by their handmade recipe during the first visit. Continue reading

Home’s Cafe Revisited

Hello,

Hazy Day in Penang

What a hazy weekend. If you want MC, just go out jogging for 1 hour and your wish will be granted. Weather like this should stay at home… such as Home’s  Cafe at D’Piazza, Bayan Baru. Yeah, we visited it again after hearing that some items had been improved.

What to eat? No Eye Deer too.

Drama Queen

Drama Queen

Two months ago I blogged about a place called No Eye Deer. Recently I paid them another visit and we ordered different meals this time. Sorry about the photos quality as the environment is kind of dim (plus cheap labor like me only can afford point-and-shoot camera).

BBQ Chicken @ New World Park

Korean Charbroiled Salad

Korean Charbroiled Salad

Previously I reviewed BBQ Chicken Restaurant in Gurney Plaza. It was a good alternative for restaurant “K” here. The olive fried chicken is not oily and you can consume 3 pieces at no “harm” (e.g. less chance to get stomach due to oily stuff). Today I bring you again to this Korean restaurant at New World Park and see how’s the menu.

Finally I can take a deep breath after submitting my thesis yesterday :worry: … but not too long before the presentation. Anyway, I enjoyed last weekend as I had an invited review to Ko-Fu Loft at Gurney Plaza with fellow food bloggers.

Chopper Board Food Corner

Hello,

Chopper Soup

Chopper Soup

Chopper Board is not new in Penang. One of its famous dish is its Chopper Soup (RM2.50). With added vinegar, the Chopper Soup tastes like shark fin soup. Yum yum~When Bukit Jambul Complex was still popular, I used to enjoy my lunch at Chopper Board there. One day, I was waiting there until spider built web on my leg and the waitress never came to take my order. Since then, I never visit that deserted place.

:yellow:

After few years, I paid my first visit at the branch in Queensbay Mall.

Swensen’s @ Time Square Penang

Hello,

Swensens Time Square

Swensen's Time Square

I was invited by my fellow classmates to Time Square on one Friday to enjoy a promotion by Swensen’s. I had a review on it previously and my comment is that it is expensive. Thanks to its current promotion which ends in 31-May (hurry!), you will entitle for 100% rebate. Read more to see how it works!

Mommy Wang @ Bayan Baru

Hello,

Mommy Wang Restaurant

Mommy Wang Restaurant

One of my problem on blogging is that after taking so many food photos, there is no time to publish them. Either is due to heavy workload, or just simply lazy  Anyway, today I bring you all to visit a Taiwanese mother – Mommy Wang, which my last visit on her is in February 2009.

View From Inside

Dragon-Y is not a new topic in online community (here and here). My first visit to the restaurant is somewhere in November 2008. So far I had visited it 3 times. Don’t be confused with Dragon-i in Queensbay Mall, this one is located at the ground floor of Suntech building (behind Sunshine Square).

Top 3 Chili Sauces on Earth

food_tabasco

The first one is Tabasco from USA, which is well-known even in Asia countries due to its effective marketing strategy. Manufactured in Avery Island, the chilies are handpicked and stored in wooden baskets for 3 years with natural mineral salt before taking them out for filtration. With added vinegar, American like to put 2 – 3 drops on hotdog to make the food tastier. Now I know why each Tabasco bottle is so small and pricey.
