Located next to Kai Curry Bar at Jalan Phuah Hin Leong, Creameal is a small cafe specialized in all-day breakfast, waffle and homemade ice cream.  Similar to other restaurants in the same street, parking is a bit difficult here but it does not stopping us from trying out their homemade ice cream in one evening.

Yoshinoya Hanamaru – a Japanese casual fast food restaurant well known of its beef bowl and udon. Its self-service concept has attracted many customers looking for a quick meal yet not sacrificing on the quality of the food. It has few outlets in Malaysia with the recent one at the basement of Gurney Plaza, Penang.

“Izakaya” means Japanese gastropub, or 居酒屋 in Chinese. It is a casual place for after-work drinking. Ichiban – The Izakaya is the Japanese restaurant and bar with currently five outlets in Malaysia:

  3. Country Garden Danga Bay, JB
  4. Gurney Paragon, Penang

Recently, we noticed that some restaurants, including The Bungalow in Lone Pine Hotel, like to pour seafood freshly stir-fried from kitchen onto customer’s dining table and ask the customers to eat them using bare hands. No, they are not crazy but this is a new trend to share and enjoy seafood without any cutlery. Just hands.
