Salted Caramel Matcha Waflle (RM15.90) – one of the best waffles in town. Salted Caramel is the recommended homemade gelato in which we have no regret ordering it as it works well as the “balancer” for the sweet waffle dressing. Chai Diam Ma art space & cafe
After reviewing some restaurants, we found out that there are two types of person who open a restaurant – the first one is an individual who like to cook. The second one being an investor who usually works in group and only focus on ROI (Some of them even don’t know how to cook). There is no absolute answer on who is better but today, we re-visit Chai Diam Ma art space & cafe in George Town, Penang in which the owner not only is a cook, but also an art lover.
Menya Miyabi Hokkaido Ramen @ Queensbay Mall & Sunway Pyramid
We visit Queensbay Mall at Bayan Lepas, Penang almost every month and this is our first time visiting Menya Miyabi since they open for business on December 2013. The shop is located at the first floor toward the wing where Daiso and Maybank are located. We regret that we only visited this ramen shop recently as it is one of the best ramen shops in the region.
Tex-Mex Friday Night Buffet @ G Hotel Gurney
Looking for best smoked duck in Penang? Then you should visit Taste Café in G Hotel Gurney, Penang. Traditionally marinated with seasonings and spices before cold smoking the meat and preserve for about a good 17 months long, the chef brings you the same taste by cold smoke the duck using apple wood and then keep in the chiller to marinate for one day before serving. Eat to believe!

Hai Nan Town
Is this a food presentation in a cooking show? No, this is Gulai Tumis Ikan served daily in Hai Nan Town, Penang. Topped with onions, mints, tomatoes, ladyfingers, and torch ginger flower, the curry may look spicy but it tastes more like an appetizing sweet and sour gravy with mild spiciness.

Previously, we introduced a warehouse-converted cafe in George Town, Penang. Today, we bring you to another restaurant which was converted from a Chinese Medical Hall – Bistro Tang in Ren I Tang Heritage Inn at Gat Penang Street (toward the end of Little India), George Town.
Gudang Cafe
When we visited Da Shu Xia Seafood restaurant last time, we stumbled upon this old building built in year 1950. From far, it looks like a warehouse. Well, it was a warehouse back in good old day until it turned into Gudang Cafe recently.
