Back in March 2013, we visited E&O Hotel in George Town, Penang for its seafood buffet previously known as Chef Petr’s Catch Extravaganza. After 1.5 years, we revisited this Wednesday buffet again at Sarkies of E&O Hotel with new naming – Seafood Extravaganza.

A La Carte New Items & Weekend Specialties @ E&O Hotel
Eastern and Oriental (E&O) Hotel is pleased to offer you a wide range of local and western cuisines at highest quality possible.
The Bakery, Sarkies Corner, E&O Hotel
Dessert cafes are mushrooming in Penang island. Once, I had a slice of cake and a cup of coffee at a new cafe in George Town, and the bill turned out to be RM30+. As a full-time blogger with near-zero income, I told myself, “No way I am going to visit any similar cafe in future!”. Until recently, I found a bakery hidden in a five-star hotel providing descent quality cakes fresh from their oven at an affordable price.
Sweet Tune Debuts @ E&O Hotel
Ulala~ Most guys probably did not notice the guitarist (and the Macbook), and only found out that this is a live band performance after the show. She is Haidee Lim, a Philippines based in Penang. The band is called Sweet Tone and you can find them in Farquhar’s Bar of Eastern & Oriental (E&O) Hotel from Thursday to Saturdays between 8pm to 11pm from now until 26 April 2014.
Carvery Night @ E&O Hotel
When was my last time seeing whole animal roasted on a stove? From the picture above, the lamb looks creepy as it looks like survival food in post-apocalypse world but trust me, you will hardly find a roasted lamb so tasty and juicy in any buffet restaurant except E&O Hotel.
Japanese and Chinese Fusion Buffet Dinner @ E&O
I tried E&O buffet couple of times, sometimes company events, sometimes just with friends. My last visit was two weeks ago with some under “stressed” colleagues. We selected Wednesday since the theme was “Japanese & Chinese Fusion Buffet Dinner” (RM78.00++).
