With restaurants come and go in Elit Avenue, Bayan Baru, Penang, sometimes we think our “Publish this post” button is equivalent to “Close this business” in which restaurants closed for good (for whatever reasons) the moment we publish our post. Break n Eat Cafe (GPS: 5.32211,100.28222), however, is a dark horse.
De Fresh Cafe (GPS: 5.32256,100.28303) is located in Elit Avenue, Bayan Baru, Penang. Compared to other restaurants there, the cafe is pretty low profile with a PVC banner hanging outside. We visited one evening to give it a try.

好味锅猪骨火锅 Hou Mei Wo Steamboat has its first outlet opened at Ipoh, followed by first branch at Menglembu and finally, second branch at Elit Avenue, Bayan Baru, Penang. This also marks the second steamboat (hot pot) restaurant in Elit Avenue. We were fortunate enough to visit it on its first day of opening, 1-June-2015.

For years, Bayan Baru is lacking of a type of restaurant – Chinese Dim Sum restaurant. Some popular Dim Sum restaurants nearby are such as Red Garden at Taman Lip Sin and Maxim at Taman Pekaka. With the introduction of Sticks and Spoon at Elit Avenue, Bayan Baru workers now can have a basket of high quality Gi Ji Siu Mai 枸子烧卖 (RM4.50+) for their lunch or dinner.
