Since PUTIEN (GPS: 5.43585,100.31112) opens its door to Penangites on April this year, we visited this One-Michelin Starred Restaurant at Gurney Paragon, Penang a few times thanks to its quality Fujian food and upscale dining environment suitable for special occasions. If you are yet to visit this Chinese restaurant, now is the best time to stop by as it has new Oyster menu launched. Even better, you may start ordering Pot of Goodies 盆菜 for upcoming Chinese New Year.
I tried E&O buffet couple of times, sometimes company events, sometimes just with friends. My last visit was two weeks ago with some under “stressed” colleagues. We selected Wednesday since the theme was “Japanese & Chinese Fusion Buffet Dinner” (RM78.00++).
After posting buffet promotions in G-Cafe of G-Hotel, my friends saw the post and decided to give the Shellfish Galore theme on Monday a try. In our opinion, it was one of the most valuable themes with “Buy 1 Free 1” promotion (only for Sep/Oct 2011).
My friends asked me what kind of buffets available in G Hotel – a famous business hotel in Penang town area? It was one evening in which a good samaritan fetched his colleagues living in Batu Ferringgi back from Bayan Lepas to their home. Deciding where to eat, we eventually went to Teluk Bahang for seafood. There were few seafood restaurants there but the one we went was Fishing Village 渔村海鲜. It had been years since I had my dinner there.
Woof woof (Welcome)! What a cute “sausage” dog I found in OCEAN Batu Maung Seafood Restaurant. Somehow he scared away when I “snap snap” him. I was looking for a seafood restaurant I never visited before when a friend of mine asked me for dinner. Googled around and found my friends, FoOdPaRaDiSe (here, here, and here) and CK (here) recommended this restaurant so we decided to pay it a visit.
Sizzling Oyster (RM24.00)! It is oysters on a thin layer of egg put into a hot plate. Yummy~ I had tried many fried oyster around but not this one in Ocean Green Restaurant (海洋青海鲜楼).
